Disaster Relief:

Disaster response team in action.

Members of the Scientology Disaster Response Team have been active in recent years responding to area disasters including the Pentagon and the Maryland tornado. Led by qualified disaster leaders, teams of local Volunteer Ministers are dispatched to disaster areas. Common denominators of all disasters large and small are trauma, loss, upset and stress of both victims and responders. It is this aspect that the Scientology Disaster Response volunteers are trained to address. Working with other area VOAD (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster) members, they seek to fill the needs of the responders as well as the victims.
